Insurance plays a distinct role by providing the crucial foundation for risk management, asset protection, and long-term wealth accumulation, while also acting as a stabilising force for the broader economy. As risk profiles become increasingly complex due to factors such as climate change, demographic shifts, and technological advancements, the role of insurance as a financial shock absorber and enabler of economic continuity has never been more vital.
Recognising that talent is a critical driver of sustainable industry development, the FSDC conducted a research study on the evolving talent landscape of Hong Kong’s insurance industry. This report serves as a sequel to its March 2025 report, Insuring Success: Enabling Sustainable Growth and Innovation to Cement Hong Kong’s Role as a Premier Global Insurance Hub, which emphasised strengthening the city’s value propositions as a thriving hub for the insurance industry.
Drawing on extensive qualitative and quantitative research, the report identifies key skill gaps and emerging career opportunities across the insurance industry. Beyond presenting actionable recommendations to strengthen Hong Kong’s talent pipeline, the report also aims to deepen public, especially young professionals, their understanding of industry dynamics, innovations, and the wide-ranging career opportunities available in this sector.
You are cordially invited to an Industry Exchange Series webinar, where we will delve into the findings of the research report. Our distinguished speakers will provide exclusive insights into the evolving workforce landscape within the insurance industry, exploring both opportunities and challenges. The session will also highlight effective strategies for cultivating the next generation of insurance professionals to support the sector’s sustainable and thriving development.
