The FSDC hosted a session theming “The Adoption of Technology in Asset and Wealth Management” during Hong Kong FinTech Week 2019. In the opening remarks, Mr Joseph Chan, Under Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury set the scene about Hong Kong's strategy on FinTech and WealthTech, followed by a panel discussion between Mr Emmanuel Pitsilis, FSDC Policy Research Committee member and veteran start-up consultant, and Ms Benedicte Nolens, Managing Director & Chief Compliance Officer, SC Ventures by Standard Chartered and formerly a regulator, who shared their views on key issues and challenges that entrepreneurs and start-ups may encounter in applying technology and preparing for evolving regulations in asset and wealth management.
