Belt and Road Summit

Close to 5,000 participants, including ministerial officials, business leaders and professionals from 55 countries and regions, attended the third Belt and Road Summit on 28 June 2018. The FSDC co-organised one of the panels on "Green Finance".  Mr Joseph Chan, Under Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region delivered the welcome remarks and Mr Stephen Wong, Deputy Executive Director and Head of Public Policy Institute of the Our Hong Kong Foundation chaired the panel.  Panel speakers Mr Jonathan Drew, Managing Director, Infrastructure and Real Estate Group, Global Banking Asia-Pacific of the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited; Mr Liu Dashan, Chairman of the China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Group; Mr David Pang, Treasurer of the MTR Corporation Limited; and Mr Pat-Nie Woo, Partner, Business Reporting and Sustainability of the KPMG, assessed the outlook for green finance in Belt and Road.
